This past summer was filled with so many gorgeous weddings, and it's like Christmas in November getting all the images back from our favorite days. I had been working with Jane and Chandler for well over a year while they were in search of the perfect space for their vows and I'm so thrilled with how all our hard work paid off. Jane pulled an all star team of vendors together and it was pure magic. With the gorgeous backdrop of Villa del Sol paired with all the gorgeous greenery and touches of white - it was truly a stunning day! Be sure to see all the handmade details below captured perfectly by photography duo Seth & KaitiNow, let's hear from the bride herself - on her top tips to share with brides for their own wedding planning:

  • I think some brides concentrate on getting "name brand" vendors who they have seen all over on Instagram. Those vendors do amazing work (don't get me wrong!) but I used Instagram to my advantage to discover more up-and-coming vendors. The smaller vendors I chose were willing to go the extra mile for the experience and definitely achieved the look I wanted for my wedding, for much less! I would also recommend meeting them in person to get a better feel for their vibe and see if you guys click. You want people who understand your vision and feel comfortable with you on your special day. I met with plenty of vendors who seemed confused or argumentative when I explained how I wanted a relaxed atmosphere and less of the traditions that we see in most weddings!

  • Hire Emilee. Haha! But forreals. I hired Emilee for the month-of coordination since I was pretty confident in finding vendors and the overall aesthetic. But that last month was so crazy and she helped me feel much more calm by taking care of random situations that were adding to overall wedding stress. Also, the day of couldn't have gone smoother! I was a pretty chill bride since I didn't have to think about anything. I know a lot of other brides feel they can coordinate the wedding day with the help of the venue coordinator, but having a hired wedding coordinator like Emilee will make you feel more taken care of!

  • Have fun. Is this cliche? But from the beginning of planning, I just wanted to focus on how to make this the best rager of a wedding. This is your day and you should have the best frickin time of your life! My timeline for the wedding day was get married, eat, toasts, dance the night away. We were on the dance floor until the last possible minute and I was so incredibly happy to see people having fun. Being surrounded by your loved ones dancing and singing at the top of our lungs was worth all of the wedding planning stress! I used to roll my eyes when people described their wedding as "the best day ever" since it seemed like such a stereotypical thing to say. But once the last song played, that phrase was all I could think about to describe that special day.
