I love winter. The holidays. The smell of evergreen. Candles that smell like apple cinnamon. Sweaters, scarves, and boots. Did I mention all the fabulous BOOTS! And don't get my started on all the possibilities of a winter wedding. I love how the idea that "you have to get married in the summer has faded". I mean, don't get me wrong - summer/spring weddings are fab. And so gorgeous. I just love that people are breaking molds and making it actually cool to get married in the winter. Maybe you aren't a summer person - maybe, just maybe you're a winter person, and by golly, you should have the option to throw a fabulous wedding in the winter time. phew! Thanks, I just needed to get that out of the way. And you know what I may love more than winter weddings... winter elopements! There is something just so magical in the intimacy in the middle of the forest with your forever person. To learn more about the shoot + some awesome elopement tips be sure to see the full feature on Wedding Chicks! For this inspiration shoot, I wanted it to be beautiful, but I wanted to draw from the nature around us as well. I felt like stunning florals paired with some rustic pine cones and pine from nearby trees would be perfect against a natural white washed table. Just enough elegance + rustic-ness together. Centia of Petal Floral really knocked it out of the park with the purple & pink palette. There is so much detail in the centerpiece and bouquet filled with tons of texture, you can't miss it against all the snow. We pulled out so many details for this mini tablescape, and I want you to know, if you're planning an elopement - you can have fun beautiful details too! You don't have to skip that part, just because your day is a bit more intimate!So... it actually started snowing on us during the shoot. Like really snowing hard. It felt like a blizzard, but that's probably being over dramatic. It was so freezing and our poor models couldn't stop shivering. But, just look at the snowflakes on model, Britney's hair! Ugh, the best. I mean, it doesn't get more winter wonderland than that! Cannot thank our beautiful couple and Joe+Kathrina for staying out in the blizzard for hours to capture all of this beauty.
