Friendsgiving 2019

This year was the first year I've ever thrown my very own Friendsgiving. To be honest, I'm a bit shocked. You'd think... little miss party planner over here would be doing this every year haha, but nope, I'm a newb. Don't get me wrong, I've done lifestyle shoots around the concept... like this one here using all leftover Thanksgiving ingredients and the food was EPIC. But a photoshoot is SO different than real life!

HUGE shoutout to my favs Joe+Kathrina for shooting all the details while I was frantically putting mascara on before everyone arrived. They captured everything so beautifully! Even got a shot of sweet Olive in there (heart eyes)

You guys want to know the best part of this whole concept - it was SO easy! I got the plates and goblets at the Dollar Store... YES. You heard that right. Those gorgeous orange goblets were ONE DOLLAR. And the best part of that was, it was so easy to just toss everything at the end of the night - didn't need to wash hardly any dishes! And the rest of the table top decor was found in the dollar section at Target. Woot Woot Target!! Even the orange plaid table linens... which, here's a secret.. are actually blanket scarves! WAY cheaper than actual linens and fit so perfectly for a cool fall evening.

The brassware and florals were all from a friend and the epic farm tables and benches were from Circa Rentals. If you're in the LA area, you MUST check them out for your next event!

For food - everyone pitched in a brought a dish or two, while we smoked about 10 lbs of tri tip and made the cocktails! It was so perfect to not have one person cook everything and it gave a bit of ownership of the event to everyone. A true Friendsgiving in my opinion. We went in a circle and each explained what they brought - it was so fun!!

The bar was made by my hubs! We use it for events sometimes and the cocktails we served were "Say Goodnight Kevin" which you may recognize from THIS shoot and we had a moscow mule station. So yummy!

It's not even fair how good looking my siblings are

Happy Friendsgiving to you and all your friends this season. I am thankful for you all!
