K+S are such incredible humans. I felt an instant connection from our first meeting. I believe we ended up chatting over coffee for more than 2 hours. It was so awesome. I was beyond honored that they chose me to help plan and execute their wedding day. They wanted to get ready and shoot their first look in their own home, and man, was that the perfect choice. They have the most beautiful home with incredible natural light. Some of my favorite photos from the day! They wanted simple details with lots of greens to match their modern & simple style. I honestly felt like their wedding design matched their whole home - it was so awesome! Between the modern hairpin tables from Circa to the organic blooms from Juniper & Mint paired with the venue - everything tied together so perfectly. Be sure to see all the gorgeous photos below by Joe+Kathrina! These two love music so much, that they hired 2 bands, 2 musicians, and a mariachi group to perform throughout the entire ceremony + reception. It was so much fun. The venue is also a venue for local concerts so the acoustics were perfect for live music. With that being said, for their favors to their guests, they made mixed cd's filled with their favorite songs as well as songs from the music they had all heard that day. The label on the cd sleeve was a drawing that their daughter made of their family - sweetest! When you do a ceremony + reception at this venue, there is a flip involved. As in flipping the entire space. So as a way to ensure all guests would exit for the cocktail hour, they had a Mariachi band play as soon as the recessional began and guests were instructed to follow the band outside. It was the coolest way to almost parade everyone outside, but make them feel like they are apart of something bigger. I loved it so much! The best part was, we brought he band in sooo quietly, that most guests didn't even realize there was a 10 person mariachi band right behind them. So the couple kissed and were pronounced and with a thrill of excitement the music began and it was just a joyous way to celebrate.Coordination & Planning: Tasteful Tatters // Venue: Center for the Arts Eagle Rock // Photography: Joe+Kathrina // Tables & Chairs: Circa Vintage Rentals // Event Rentals: JC Party Rentals // Florals: Juniper & Mint // Catering : CaliFuze // Bands: Fulkerson & Clarke, Honey Honey //Bartending : Catered Cocktails
