Dying with Tissue Paper DIY

If you follow me on Instagram at all, you’ve seen that I have been dying textiles A LOT over quarantine. Like, a lot a lot. It’s been such a fun hobby to plan around with and try out different methods and styles. But THIS concept was just too good not to share. It’s dying with… tissue paper. Yes, you read that right. The result is like a dreamy watercolor effect that reminds me of a mermaid.

So here is what you need: a cotton or linen item (could literally be anything – pillow case, dress, tshirt) I did a linen dress and cotton face masks. // Bleeding Tissue Paper (I used Hygloss) // vinegar

Step 1: Make sure your item has been washed. Then, soak your garment in vinegar & water. One cup vinegar for each gallon of water. Soak for 1 hour.

DIY Colorful Abstract Painted Tableware

A couple weeks ago, I posted a beautiful Micro-Wedding Inspiration shoot and guess what the number one question I got on Instagram was? “Who made those glass place settings?” I felt bad because I couldn’t direct them to a vendor that supplied them… the truth is, I just made them! I whipped them up the day before and loved how they turned out. So in an effort to give you guys the most info possible to pull off the pretty details, I whipped up a little tutorial for you all… but I maybe took it 2 steps further haha

CBD Bath Bomb DIY

If you’ve been following along for any period of time, you’d know I’m a HUGE fan of a good bubble bath. It’s a weekly ritual… sometimes multiple times a week, if I’m being honest. There is just something so wonderful about taking 45 minutes in the dark, soaking in hot water, soft music playing, epsom salts, some essential oils, and just shutting off. No phones, no emails, no proposals, just rest and relaxation.

A few months ago, I got diagnosed with PCOS and I’ve been suffering from insanely painful cramps. More intense than anything I’ve ever experienced before. Nothing helped. I would wake up in a hot sweat at 2am with the worst pain in my lower abdomen and stressed that I couldn’t fall back asleep. The only thing that helped was a warm bath. One day, my husband felt so bad, he went out and bought me some cbd + thc bath bombs to help alleviate the pain and let me tell you – THEY WORkED MIRACLES. What I loved most about them, was it allowed me to not take any aspirin, tylenol, anything like that. I always get nervous if I’m taking too many “pain relievers” you know? Then, it got me thinking… these things are are $15 a piece… I could just make my own! You may remember my original bath bomb tutorial here… so I know how to make them already – I just needed to add the CBD! And that’s how this tutorial for you all began!

Easy Paint Dot DIY

Sometimes I do DIY’s and my friends comment cute things like “you’re so creative!” or “I adore this!”

to which I reply… “thanks! you should make one/this!” and then crickets. Some people look at DIYs (mine or otherwise) all across the internet and think that it’s cool but surely they wouldn’t be able or aren’t crafty enough to pull it off.

Well ladies and gent… or just more ladies (I highly doubt I have many men readers on here) this DIY is for EVERYONE from the super craft mom to the accountant who’s main craft supply is her purple ballpoint pen… hey! It’s PURPLE! To anyone in between… I promise you can do this project and it will be fun!

The perfect afternoon or after school project to just use your hands, get creative… maybe you just need to step away from the computer and give your eyes a break. OR maybe you’re looking to add some custom art to your gallery wall – use these in your home or on your fridge… or turn them into a greeting card – whatever you do – this project will be finished in less than 10min and will cost you less than $10!
