Lauren & Scott Destination Wedding

I am so stinkin’ excited to share this wedding with you all!!!!! Ladies and Gentlemen… I would like to formally (haha formal as in, an actual blog post) introduce you all to my very first (well, out of the country) destination wedding!!!! Lauren contacted me so long ago about planning her wedding somewhere in Mexico. That was literally how it started. “I want to get married in Mexico, but no clue where.” We worked endlessly to first of all, find a venue that fit what she was looking for, for her and her guests… once we tackled that obstacle, we jumped into planning the details. Now, I just want to throw out there, that finding a wedding venue is probably the hardest part on a bride’s to do list. When you’re looking for a venue in another country – that is a WHOLE other beast. I’m so grateful to have had a bride like Lauren, who knew what she wanted and knew she needed help from a planner – but totally recognized that this was also MY first time planning a wedding in Mexico. She was so gracious and patient while I figured some stuff out and dealing with finding and vetting vendors I’ve never worked with before. Cannot thank her enough for that! In the end, it was such an incredible experience and I learned SO much. Turns out, I LOVE planning destination weddings haha. Be sure to scroll through and see all the gorgeous images  from their incredible wedding WEEK in Playa del Carmen and links to all our amazing vendors who absolutely nailed it!

Morgan & Bryce :: LA Arboretum Wedding

Morgan and Bryce are literally the cutest. Working with Morgan on their wedding was such a joy. We would set up a coffee date/meeting to go over details, and end up chatting for 2 hours about life and family. We understood each other and our backgrounds and how we both came to be who we are today. It was so wonderful to get to know her throughout this whole process. Continue Reading…

Cathrine & Elvis Temecula Winery Wedding

I seriously don’t have enough good things to say about Cathrine & Elvis’ wedding this past spring. First of all, they are the coolest. But planning a wedding from the East Coast meant, they had to put a lot of trust in us to help find them vendors and put together a design that is just uniquely them. So basically, our ideal clients! Early on we decided that Cathrine wasn’t looking for something super feminine filled with blush pinks and pastels. She was drawn more towards greenery, metals, and woods. A more masculine tone. We loved it! We decided to go with a unique mix of greens in these rad amber vases and they looked so good in the barrel room of Callaway Winery. This room was literally the perfect blend of wood, metal, and candlelight. My favorite detail was the small leather touches we added everywhere – from the escort tags, to the linens wrapped in leather – it was one of my favorite details. We even found some special leather pieces to wrap the bridal bouquet in! Be sure to scroll through and see all the beautiful details captured by Mandi of Mandilynn Photography, she captured everything so well!!

Lindsey & Phil’s Malibu Wedding

Lindsey and Phil’s wedding at Calamigos could not have been a more perfect day. The weather was ideal, the trees were lush and green and the energy in the air was contagious. I loved working with these two on their special day, and I am so happy that they found each other. They both have a love of movies, and they poured their heart and soul into every detail of their day. Even down to their vows and their nod to The Breakfast Club after they were pronounced man and wife with an iconic fist pump in the air and Don’t You Forget About Me playing in the background. Be sure to see all the beautiful images from  Zoom Theory Photography below!

Playa Del Carmen Wedding BTS

Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to hop on plane and head to Cancun for about 5 days to pull off a full on wedding extravaganza at El Dorado Royale. It was quite the adventure to say the least. As with any wedding, there are so many details that go into every part of the day… but when you take that over to another country, it practically doubles. I’m pretty sure I was emailing the hotel 3x a week for over 8 months haha – but all our hard work paid off and the wedding day was downright perfection! I took a few snaps on my phone throughout the week to share with you all. If you are considering a destination wedding, it is such a great option! I’m thinking of doing a follow up post on dos and don’ts for planning a destination wedding, would anyone be interested in that? Let me know in the comments below!

I packed all my clothes in this cute mini carry on suitcase from DesignLoveFest… and the rest of our FOUR bags were for wedding decor! And these cute little flamingo drink floaties were in the welcome bags for each guest – so cute!  Continue Reading…
