Playa Del Carmen Wedding BTS

Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to hop on plane and head to Cancun for about 5 days to pull off a full on wedding extravaganza at El Dorado Royale. It was quite the adventure to say the least. As with any wedding, there are so many details that go into every part of the day… but when you take that over to another country, it practically doubles. I’m pretty sure I was emailing the hotel 3x a week for over 8 months haha – but all our hard work paid off and the wedding day was downright perfection! I took a few snaps on my phone throughout the week to share with you all. If you are considering a destination wedding, it is such a great option! I’m thinking of doing a follow up post on dos and don’ts for planning a destination wedding, would anyone be interested in that? Let me know in the comments below!

I packed all my clothes in this cute mini carry on suitcase from DesignLoveFest… and the rest of our FOUR bags were for wedding decor! And these cute little flamingo drink floaties were in the welcome bags for each guest – so cute!  Continue Reading…

Diana & Michael’s Eagle Rock Wedding

Diana & Michael live in DC, and were planning a wedding in Eagle Rock, CA. They were planning it quite successfully actually, with the help of Diana’s incredible family. In an effort to lighten the load on family and make the process a bit smoother, we got brought on board to help with those last min logistics, and we were beyond thrilled. Diana and Michael are probably the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Like ever. And their big day was nothing short of that. There were so many sweet moments, with joyful tears, and the biggest hugs. You could literally feel the love and emotion in the room the entire evening.

Sarah & Joey : Topanga Canyon, CA

I met Sarah years ago at a birthday dinner. I had never met her before, but she caught my attention immediately. She’s one of those girls who just says what she means, looks fierce in a sexy dress, and is just cool. So, when she called me up about her wedding, I jumped at the chance to work with her! Sarah officially met Joey at a show he was DJ’ing, and after she wrote him on Twitter. Yes, Twitter. And a romance began on the social media interwebs, if you can believe it or not. Sarah and Joey are the epitome of yin and yang, a perfect compliment to each other. I loved their interactions because it was so apparent how perfect they were for no one else, but one another.

Their wedding was set right before Halloween of last year. Sarah loved the season and wanted to draw on Fall elements, without it being overtly “Halloween Themed.” We did however, put together the raddest pumpkin swag bags for the kids, I might add!

And don’t get my started on all the possibilities of a winter wedding. I love how the idea that “you have to get married in the summer has faded”. I mean, don’t get me wrong – summer/spring weddings are fab. And so gorgeous. I just love that people are breaking molds and making it actually cool to get married in the winter. Maybe you aren’t a summer person – maybe, just maybe you’re a winter person, and by golly, you should have the option to throw a fabulous wedding in the winter time. phew!
