So, I love Ruche – love love. I have to keep myself from going on their site daily in fear I will buy something new everyday =) If you haven’t been on their online shop, you will definitely have to check out their vintage inspired collections. Now that you are aware of my addiction =) The rest of this will make more sense. I purchased a polka dot cable knot sweater from Ruche earlier this winter and I was instantly in love. I wore it ALL the time. After a few months the sleeves on the sweater started to get stretched out a little (due to my constant scrunching up my arm) In an effort to continuing wearing my beloved sweater, I came up with this super easy DIY that you can do to any of your cable knit sweaters that may have been collecting moth balls in your closet.
{SUPPLIES} Cable Knit Sweater // small safety pin // ribbon of your choice 1/2 inch // scissors
{Step 1) Open up safety pin and place ribbon inside. Leave enough on both sides for an easier grip.
{Step 2} Gently pull on the sweater to reveal a larger opening in the natural knit pattern and begin threading the ribbon in and out of the holes. Keep an equal distant between each stitch.
{Step 3} Keep “stitching” until you come to your beginning stitch and be sure that your final stitch is coming out of the outside of the sweater and tie off your ribbon. Cut to your desired length. And repeat on the other arm!
Now, I want to dig up all my sweaters and add pretty little bows to them, what about you??
