Dollar Store Trash Bin DIY

Now, I must admit this title sounds a little lame/depressing. Trash bins aren’t the most glorious things to think about, am I right? I mean, it’s for trash. But today, I’m going to share how to turn a boring little trash bin into a cute decorative storage space for your office!

Grapefruit Lavender Soap DIY

TastefulTattersDIY-3

I love bath products. So. Much. Every Thursday I find myself hanging out in front of the goats milk soaps that are so incredibly fragrant and I have to stop myself from spending $200 on 4 soaps lol. So, I turned to Pinterest in search of a better option. And low and behold I discovered the most amazing (and simple recipe ever!) I posted my first batch on Instagram and I got a huge response from interested gals so I thought I’d share the process that I found on A Beautiful Mess here as well as details on my second batch where I made my own recipe =)

{SUPPLIES} – goats milk soap base – found mine HERE // silicon mold (I used this one) // essential oils- I used grapefruit, lavender, peppermint (not all together!)

{EXTRAS} Grapefruit zest // Poppyseeds

Mini Banana Cream Pie Recipes

I hate to cook. And I LOVE to bake. The problem is, I can’t do it all the time or else I’d stuff my face with sweet treats all day long. So I try to bake when I know people are coming over or for a fun dinner party. I just love banana cream pie. Like, it’s my all time fav. But pies like that don’t look very pretty when they are sliced up. And if you think like me, and you’re planning a dinner party with friends – you want every last detail to look pretty. Am I right?!

So, I stumbled upon this adorable recipe for mini banana cream pies (perfect for a little get together!) And I feel like people are more down to try a bite sized treat that opt for a whole slice of pie – perfect! The recipe I found was from GirlVsDough.com and it was perfect for me – super simple. But I made a few adjustments of my own and I’m in love with the final result. (image below via girlvsdough.com)

Sweet Stop Motion Engagement Shoot : Julie & Josh

Julie and Josh are seriously the sweetest people… and couple. They just adore each other and I just love that! For their engagement – we teamed up with Stephanie Collins Photography to create the engagement announce of a lifetime! A stop-motion video! These things are SO COOL people. Like, probably my new all time favorite. I’ve styled many things: weddings, events, dinner parties, maternity shoots, editorial spreads – you name it. I’ve never worked on a stop motion video and let me tell you – it is a lot of work! I could take hours to shoot something that will only be 15 seconds on film – which is crazy to me haha – but it was such a rewarding experience and a huge shoutout to Stephanie for putting everything together so flawlessly!

California Fall Wedding (My Best friends Wedding!)

california-fall-wedding-2

Last Fall was such a special time for me. Mainly because I got to attend a wedding (that never happens!) but MOSTLY because the wedding I got to attend was my best friends. I’ve known Lauren since I was 15 years old. We were there for each other for our tennis matches (we were kick ass doubles partners) first boyfriends, chemistry tests, slumber parties, thousands of hours of SVU marathons while pounding bags of cherries =) And last November, I got to see my best friend marry the man of her dreams and it was amazing. And lucky for you, her wedding was captured by the talented Shannen Natasha and was featured on 100 Layer Cake a couple days ago – so I get to share it with YOU! Everything about this wedding was so gorgeous – I’ll let the photos just speak for themselves =)
